Volleyball, Bulls and a 5k Race Top This Week's Events
It's Halloween week, and there are a lot of other non-spooky events going on in the area, too.

West County Brawlers Volleyball Meeting
When: Thursday, 5:30 p.m.
Where: West County Area Library
Details: Learn about the new youth volleyball club and meet the coaches.
Wine and Cheese Event at the Christmas Shoppe
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: The Christmas Shoppe, Village at Waugh Chapel
Details: Enjoy a sampling if wines and get 40% off one item in the store using couponcode: Wine. There will be a raffle drawing at 8:45 p.m.
Meade Football vs. Broadneck
When: Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Meade High
Details: The jockeying for playoff seeding is intense, and both teams will look for a win here to solidify their postseason resume. A county title is still not out of the question.
Building Hope 5k Run and 1-mile Walk
When: Saturday, 8 a.m.
Where: Kinder Farm Park, Millersville
Details: Proceeds from this run will go toward the construction of the Severn Community Health & Wellness Center on Reece Road. $25 to enter.
Odenton Volunteer Fire Co. Bull Roast
When: Saturday, 7 p.m.
Where: Odenton Volunteer Fire Co.
Details: Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Plenty of food and there will be a DJ.
