A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. The Knights jumped off to a 2-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game and coasted the rest of the way. The Knights were scheduled to play Hagerstown, the No. 4 seed, Tuesday at Harford Community College. The Knights defeated Hagerstown during the regular season 3-0.The Lady Knights volleyball team was swept by Hagerstown 3-0. The team travels to Chicago on Saturday and Sunday to participate in the Blackhawk Classic.The women's soccer team captured the No. 3 seed in the NJCAA Region XX Tournament and will play Harford Community College at 5 p.m. Thursday in a semi-final matchup. The Lady Knights were defeated by Harford 2-0 early in the season.The women's cross-country team will travel to Westmoreland Community College to participate in the NJCAA Region XX Tournament Saturday.
