Loch Raven/Hillendale Crime: Street Robbery in Hillendale

Hillendale
Hillsway Avenue, 7500 block. 12:47 a.m. June 1. A man and woman were walking northbound when they spotted two men following on the other side of the street. The couple walked faster, then the men ran across. One knocked the man down with a handgun and the pair dragged the woman into an alley, where they beat her in the face with the gun, stole a black purse and fled toward Wentworth Avenue.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6800 block. 5:44 a.m. June 1. At , a burglar broke the front door glass and took a cash drawer containing $50 and a change box containing $60 in coins.

Goucher Boulevard, 1300 block. 1:56 a.m. May 29. A burglar broke a glass door at Hot Spot Sweepstakes and stole a bank bag containing $16,000 from an area under a cabinet, where an employee told police that nobody without prior knowlege would look.
Yakona Road, 1600 block. Between 3 p.m. May 8 and 3 p.m. May 29. A pet door was forced open, a basement drop ceiling was destroyed and an electricity meter and lamp were reported stolen from a vacant apartment. The previous tenant had been evicted.
Ridgely Oak Road, 8100 block. Between 5 and 6 p.m. May 28. A backpack containing fishing tackle was reported stolen from a front yard.
Ridgeleigh
Water Oak Road, 8500 block. Between 2:30 and 9:30 p.m. June 1. A burglar entered a home through a rear basement door and ransacked it, stealing a laptop and a safe containing $30,000 in cash.
