A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A Baltimore City man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing at a Rossville-area shopping center Friday evening. Martel Anthony Roary, 28, of the 2700 block of Ellicott Drive in Baltimore was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault following a stabbing at a shopping center, 6420 Petrie Way, around 6:14 p.m. Mar. 1, according to a police report. The incident occurred outside a WalMart store in the shopping center, according to police spokeswoman Julia Hardgrove. Roary is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bond, according to a search of online court records. Police said that Roary stabbed another man in the stomach after getting into an argument with the victim.
