Predictable costs
Oak Crest's pricing structure is made up of two components--a monthly service package and a 90% refundable entrance fee.*

Maintenance and repairs are just a couple of the expenses included in the monthly service package. The package also covers utilities, including heating and air conditioning, a meal plan at on-site restaurants, regularly scheduled transportation, professional landscaping, Wi-Fi, phone, and cable TV.
This all-inclusive approach helps residents easily manage their finances.
"Since moving to Oak Crest, our stress levels no longer skyrocket when something breaks or needs repair; we just call the General Services department and they send someone up to fix it," says Pat. "And we are very pleased with the delicious meals that are available. Every day we eat like royalty!"
Having predictable monthly expenses has also benefitted Sandy and Tim Caslin, who moved to Oak Crest from Cub Hill, Md., in 2025.
"It's nice to know that our bills are the same every month," says Sandy. "The electric bill doesn't fluctuate, so we never worry about how often we are running the dishwasher or washing a load of clothes. With the meal plan, we don't spend a lot on groceries, and we can eat in restaurants with friends and enjoy a good meal."
She adds, "It allows us to plan for vacations without worrying that our monthly bills are going to change!"
Peace of mind
Oak Crest's industry-leading, 90% refundable entrance fee provides another layer of financial stability. The entrance fee, collected as part of the residency process, will go back to you or your beneficiaries if or when you leave the community.
In fact, it was one of the factors that attracted Pat and Dale to Oak Crest in 2024.
For Sandy and Tim, the community's Home for Life promise* and continuum of on-site care provided additional peace of mind.
No one ever expects to run out of money, but sometimes unforeseen issues arise that can quickly deplete your hard-earned savings. At Oak Crest, we've planned for life's uncertainties and are prepared to assist eligible residents who outlive their resources. No one will be asked to leave the community because of a genuine inability to pay.
"Both of our mothers lived independently at Oak Crest for many years and eventually transitioned into continuing care. So, we were very familiar with the community and comfortable knowing that, no matter what, they had a home for life," says Sandy. "We know that if either of us needs another level of care in the future, we will be well taken care of."
A vibrant lifestyle
Without the stress and hassle of home maintenance, residents have more time to pursue their hobbies and interests--especially since access to the community's amenities is also included in the monthly service package.
"There are many opportunities to have fun and socialize, and the numerous amenities at Oak Crest make living here worth every penny," says Pat.
"We use the fitness center and pool, and we enjoy going to the Acorn Pub," says Sandy. "I volunteer on the resident Welcome Committee, joined a book club, and play cards and bocce. I also hope to grow a garden this year."
Executive Director Mark Roussey notes that Oak Crest's financial strength--backed by Erickson Senior Living--creates opportunities to reinvest in community amenities, services, and buildings, ensuring residents enjoy the best value now and in the future.
"We always look for ways to refresh the clubhouses and residence buildings," says Roussey. "For example, in 2025, we completed the installation of new windows in every independent living residence."
The right move
Pat, reflecting on their two years at Oak Crest, is confident that moving to the community was the right decision.
"Oak Crest's dedication to providing an excellent atmosphere for all residents make us feel like living here is definitely worthwhile," says Pat.
