Parkville Guardsmen Redeploy to Afghanistan
The 290th Military Police Company will head to Texas for training and then overseas for a year, CBS News reports.

For the fifth time since September 11, 2001 a local National Guard unit is being deployed overseas.
Members of the 290th Military Police Company, based out of the Parkville Armory, is headed to Afghanistan again, local CBS News affiliate WJZ reported on Thursday. The 90 men and women in the company will first head to Texas for training before deploying overseas for a year.
Once in Afghanistan, the group will primarily be responsible for guarding detainee facilities, company commander Lt. Andrew Wrenn told a CBS News reporter during the Mar. 7 sendoff ceremony.
