Read: Baltimore County Revokes Skateland Permit

The upcoming "club night" at Putty Hill Skateland was cancelled following a meeting between the skating rink and the police department earlier this week.

Now Baltimore County officials have released a letter sent to Skateland on Tuesday informing them that their Amusement Hall permit had been revoked.

The letter explains that an amusement hall in Baltimore County is a "commercial establishment which provides live or recorded entertainment, with or without a dance floor; is operated for profit, is subject to admission and amusement tax and does not have a Baltimore County liquor license."

In the letter, the county orders Skateland to abandon plans for the upcoming "club night", scheduled for Aug. 16; refusal to do so, the letter says, could result in the revocation of the business' Roller Rink license.

The revocation stems from a recent incident of "riotous, uncontrollable behavior" reported by the Baltimore County Police Department

According to the letter, Skateland has operated in a manner "that produces excessive noise, traffic congestion, vandalism, or other activities on or about the premises which may constitute a nuisance or which may lead to the arrest or detention of patrons ... of the facility currently operated as a skating rink."
