What Road in Parkville Needs a Speed Bump?
We asked Patch readers on Facebook what streets they thought needed a speed bump. Find out what your neighbors told us.

Parkville, MD- Over 9,000 fatalities occurred nationally during 2014 due to speeding according to the latest statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The data also shows a correlation between a driver’s age and the likelihood of a speed-related accident. As the age of a driver increases, their risk of being in an accident decreases. Men are also more likely to be at the wheel during a speeding accident, according to the study.
While the number of speed-related fatalities have continually decreased since 2005, speeding still remains an issue in many of our Patch communities, including Parkville. Readers suggested everything from increased police presence to more stop signs to building less housing to keep traffic at bay.

- "Clarksworth Place. There is no parking on either side of the street. So I think when some drivers see that they speed down the street coming off Talyor Ave. I've seen this happen quite often. . there are small children who live here and I'm afraid for them."
- "Glenside. People fly over that hill."
- "Willoughby east of Harford Road. It's like a raceway with lots of kids in that area."
- "Hillcrest Avenue- between Park and Queen Anne."
- "Rader Avenue for sure. People drive way above the limit, and there is an elementary school also."
- "Woodcroft Northside Community. People cut through here from Old Harford and Harford Road. Got residents walking, some walking their animals and young kids playing."
- "Oakcrest Ave between Harford and Old Harford Road. It gets used as a cut through to avoid traffic. There are several families with small children."
