More Than 500 Hats and Scarves Knitted, Donated

Volunteers at the Edward A. Myerberg Senior Center made donations to area shelters this month.

The Edward A. Myerberg Senior Center donated more than 500 knitted hats and scarves to shelters this month, according to a news release from the center.

Volunteers from throughout the community and members of the center hand-knit the items, the release states.

In January, the center will hold a canned food food drive and all the items collected will go to the Maryland Food Bank.

Stop by the center to drop off non-perishable food items in the main lobby, located at 3101 Fallstaff Road in Baltimore.

Last year, the center donated more than 300 pounds of food.
