The students, Collin Stanhope, 17, Sara Ewel, 17, and Adam Ewel, 18, were presented Congressional Award medals from Congressman Christopher Van Hollen Jr. (D-Dist.8) May 22. Combined, the three boast 500 hours of community service and 250 hours of personal and physical development, <a href="http://www.gazette.net/article/20120606/NEWS/706069880/1144/potomac-teens-earn-congressional-award-for-youth&amp;template=gazette" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to a Gazette report</a>. The Congressional Award Program challenges 14 to 23 year olds in four areas: voluntary public service, personal development, physical fitness and exploration.
