Three Potomac students were presented with a Congressional Award in May.

Potomac students were recognized this spring with Congressional Awards for excellent achievements.

The students, Collin Stanhope, 17, Sara Ewel, 17, and Adam Ewel, 18, were presented Congressional Award medals from Congressman Christopher Van Hollen Jr. (D-Dist.8) May 22. Combined, the three boast 500 hours of community service and 250 hours of personal and physical development, according to a Gazette report.

The Congressional Award Program challenges 14 to 23 year olds in four areas: voluntary public service, personal development, physical fitness and exploration.
