Students Rescued From Toppled School Bus On Icy Road
Students were rescued from a school bus that slipped on an icy side street and toppled over in Potomac Tuesday morning.
POTOMAC, MD — Several people were rescued from a school bus that toppled over in Potomac Tuesday morning, officials said. The smaller school bus was traveling in the 110500 block of Tulip Ln., an icy side street, when it slid into a shallow ravine, spokesperson Pete Piringer said. The driver and two students were rescued from the bus.
EMS evaluated the occupants and no serious injuries were reported, Piringer told Patch.
Officials salted the road so a tow truck could pull the bus out of the ravine. The accident occurred as Montgomery County schools ran on a two-hour delay for icy conditions.
