4 Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving in Annapolis

Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving with your 50+ relatives who are coming into town, or want a cozy family dinner, this is the one day of the year that is fully dedicated to eating until you’re in a food coma.

But Thanksgiving dinner doesn’t just come with a massive pile of food, there’s also a massive pile of dishes and leftovers to clean and put away after — while you’re battling the desire to take a nap.

So if the whole mess of Thanksgiving doesn’t sound appealing to you, several restaurants in Annapolis are willing to cook and clean for you. Check out our list for a change in Thanksgiving plans and less work for you.

Ram’s Head Tavern: For $21.95 for adults and $10.95 for children, Ram’s Head Tavern will do a special Thanksgiving dinner — a three-course meal with a eight savory sides to choose from. The full menu will also be available. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. Thursday until 2 a.m. Friday, so there’s plenty of time to swing by 33 West Street at any given point of the day. Chart House Restaurant: On top of the regular menu of steaks and seafood, Chart House Restaurant will also offer a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. If you have mixed opinions of what people in the family would like to eat on Thanksgiving Day, this might be the way to go with plenty of delicious options. The restaurant located at 300 2nd St., is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., but requires a reservation. The bar, however, will be first come first serve. To make a reservation, call 410-268-7166.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House: So let’s consider the option of having steak for Thanksgiving dinner again. Ruth’s Chris Steak House at 301 Severn Ave. is open from noon to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. For those who want the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, the steak house is offering a three-course meal featuring oven-roasted turkey breast and sweet potato casserole. Sam’s on the Waterfront: Your Thanksgiving feast could also come with a beautiful view of the water this year if you decide to head over to 2020 Chesapeake Harbour Dr. East for a four-course Thanksgiving dinner.
