Police Arrest Suspect in Laurel Supermarket Shooting

Police said Sean Crighton Macattram stole a gun and fired shots inside the Weis Market in Laurel.

Anne Arundel County police have arrested the man they believe stole a gun and fired shots inside a supermarket in Laurel last week.

Laurel City police officers detained Sean Crighton Macattram, 31, on Sunday based on a description from Anne Arundel County police.

Police said Maccatram tried to shoplift from the Weis Market in the Corridor Market Place. When he was approached by a security guard, he stole the guard's gun and fired several shots inside the store before running off.

Police posted photos and video of the suspect last week and urged the public to call if they could identify him.

According to police, Maccatram has no fixed address. He's being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
