The Big Bean Serves Up Coffee for Longer Hours

As summer begins to fade and kids head back to school, The Big Bean is revving up for more business.

Starting Monday, the local coffee shop extended its hours. It will now be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

During the summer months The Big Bean had more limited hours, and closed at 3 p.m. on weekdays and noon on weekends.

An employee at The Big Bean told Patch they reduce the hours during the summer because people are away on vacation, or not always in the mood for hot coffee. Once school picks back up, and when the weather changes business increases.

The Big Bean was bursting with activity Monday morning, as area residents stopped in for some caffeine to help ease them back into the school routine.
