
A burglary alarm call turned out to be a drug bust for a rookie Takoma Park Police officer, according to a report in The Gazette.
On July 19 Officer Travis Ala arrived on the scene in the 500 block of Belford Place to answer a call of a burglary alarm.
The call led to the officer finding and seizing two black trash bags full of marijuana. The bags contained 18.8 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $106,000.
