Dirt Bike Crash Kills Takoma Park Man: Police
A Takoma Park man is dead following a dirt bike crash on New Hampshire Avenue Friday night.
TAKOMA PARK, MD — A 23-year-old man is dead following a dirt bike crash in Takoma Park Friday night, authorities said.
It happened at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Glenside Drive around 9:48 p.m.
Montgomery County police identified the victim as Derlin Samuel Santos Dubon, of Takoma Park. He died of his injuries at a local hospital.

Investigators determined that a 2017 Hyundai Sonata — driven by a 26-year-old Takoma Park resident — was traveling north on New Hampshire Avenue and tried to turn left onto Glenside Drive. "For reasons still under investigation," the Sonata collided with Santos Dubon, who was riding south on New Hampshire Avenue, police said.
The driver of the Sonata was not injured in the crash, but an adult male passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
