First 200 at Microsoft Grand Opening Will Meet Nationals' Stephen Strasburg

The new Microsoft store will open at Bethesda's Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Move over, Apple, Microsoft is set to open a retail store at the Westfield Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Blvd. in Bethesda, on Saturday, Nov. 22, and the first 200 people in line for the grand opening will also get a chance to meet Washington Nationals’ baseball star Stephen Strasburg.

The 1,200-square-foot store located on the second level -- the same level as Apple -- will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

The store will offer a full line of Microsoft products, including Windows 8.1 PCs, tablets, Windows phones and the Xbox One.

Customers also have the chance to attend the store’s group and one-on-one classes designed to help users utilize their Microsoft technology to its full capacity, according to a previous Patch story.

The Xbox One event with Strasburg will be at 4 p.m. on Nov. 22 for those who arrive early enough to the grand opening for tickets.
