Housing prices in May rose 11.7 percent from the same time last year and are up 5.7 percent year-to-date from last year, a <a href="http://www.rbintel.com/blog/dc-metro-double-digit-price-increase-may-2nd-straight-month" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Metropoitan Regional Information Systems report showed</a>. Neighboring Prince George's County didn't fare quite as well, but still showed an increase. Housing prices rose 7.3 percent from May of last year and 2.4 percent year-to-date from last year. Prices are up 11 percent across the D.C. region from the same time last year, which includes a 66.7 percent jump in Falls Church City, and up 7.7 percent year-to-date from last year, according to the report.
