O'Malley to Kick Off Early Voting with McGinty's Performance in Silver Spring

The governor will join his Celtic rock band at the downtown Silver Spring bar Saturday.

 

Here's even more motivation to head to the polls early in Silver Spring: Check out Gov. Martin O'Malley's Celtic rock band after you vote. 

O'Malley's March will play at McGinty's Public House in downtown Silver Spring Saturday, Oct. 27, the first day of early voting in Maryland. A short walk from McGinty's, the Silver Spring Civic Center is one of five early voting centers in Montgomery County.

The performance is part of "Early Voting Bash," organized by the Montgomery County Young Democrats, Obama for America and other political organizations, including supporters of ballot measures to uphold gay marriage and the Maryland Dream Act, the Washington Post reports. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
