Pedestrian Struck By Metro Bus In Takoma Park Expected To Recover
A pedestrian who was struck by a Metro bus Monday night in Takoma Park is expected to be OK, police said.
TAKOMA PARK, MD — A pedestrian who was hospitalized after being struck by a Metro bus in Takoma Park is expected to recover, police said.
The man was hit around 6:40 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Auburn Avenue. The bus driver remained on the scene, according to Takoma Park police.
Authorities said the man was taken to a hospital as a priority one trauma patient, or a patient who is considered critically injured or needs immediate medical attention. They later determined that his injuries were non-life-threatening.
