
Environmentalism and art will meet July 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old Takoma Gazebo with Mayor Bruce Williams, Recycling Artist-in-Residence Renee Lachman and Public Works Director Daryl Braithwaite.
There wil be a Trashy Art contest where anyone can submit an original 2 or 3 dimensional work of “trashy art” made of 100 percent trash or re-purposed materials.
To participate, drop off your “trashy art” at the Gazebo in Old Takoma between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on July 29.

Panel of distinguished judges will announce the winners at 12:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Takoma Park, the Takoma Park Arts and Humanities Commission in partnership with the Old Takoma Business Association.
