Two Houses Burglarized Friday in Takoma Park

Property was stolen from both houses.

Two houses were burglarized Friday in Takoma Park, according to police.

On Sept. 14, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7000 block of Sycamore Avenue for a front door intrusion alarm and found the door wide open and damaged near the lock.  

The burglar first tried to enter the house through a front window, but when that didn't work the suspect kicked in the front door, causing significant damage. Property was stolen from the house.

Then on Sept. 15, around 6:19 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of Circle Ave for reports of a burglary that happened on Sept. 14.

The victim left his residence at arround 8:25 p.m. and when he returned at 9:45 p.m. when he found property was missing.  Police do not know how the suspect gained entry into the house.
