AAA Partners with PMJ Foundation for Back-to-School Drive to Benefit Students in Baltimore Region
AAA Members and Non-Members Can Drop Donated Supplies at Baltimore-Area AAA Locations from July 31 – August 22
TIMONIUM, MD (July 30, 2025) – AAA retail locations throughout the Baltimore area have partnered with the Preston Mitchum, Jr Foundation (PMJ) Foundation to collect much-needed school supplies for children and teens in the Baltimore area.
The campaign, which begins tomorrow, will reach more than 3,000 young people, between the ages of five and 17, in need of new school clothes and supplies. Many of whom are living in shelters and have limited means and opportunity of securing the necessary learning tools on their own.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of community partners like AAA,” said Preston J. Mitchum, founder of the PMJ Foundation. “This Back-to-School drive sends an important message to the children and teens we serve – that they and their education are valued and that the community is committed to their success.”

Every student should have the necessary tools to begin the school year. The PMJ Foundation makes it possible with support from the community during these “Giving Back” campaigns. When young people return to school ready, willing, and prepared to learn, there is a much higher success rate in academic achievement and social interaction. And, with better academic performance and social skills, relationships in the community are positively affected, and families are strengthened. We each have a responsibility to give back.
“AAA is honored to partner with the PMJ Foundation and give back to the community, by ensuring that students have the necessary items to do their schoolwork and have a productive school year,” said Ragina Cooper Ali, Public and Government Affairs Manager for AAA in Maryland.
