Justin Bieber Fans Desperate For Coveted Pink Bracelet

Those stricken with the fever begin lining up at 1 a.m. for their "golden ticket." The "pink bracelet" grants earliest access to concert.

Early symptoms of Bieber-Fever were reported as early as 1 a.m. when ticket holders began lining up for the sold-out Justin Bieber concert.

The show begins at 8 p.m. That's 19 hours of waiting.

At 8 a.m., when the Timonium Fairgrounds gates were opened for concertgoers, the line stretched from the York Road entrance all the way to Timonium Road. Gates for the infield concert inside the fairgrounds do not open until 5:15 p.m.

The crowd easily number in the thousands, with anxious fans vying for the highly- coveted "pink bracelet."

Fairgrounds administrators devised an entry system based on color-coded bracelets, which came with instructions regarding when and where they would be allowed to enter concert.

The pink bands permit entry at 5:15 p.m.–the earliest time.

Friends Lindsey Groves, 29, and Amanda Crim, 30, were among the first in line. They arrived in Timonium at 10:30 p.m. Saturday and were standing at the front of the line by 1:30 a.m.

Wait. They're 29 years old and 30? They have Bieber Fever?

"Our children. Our baby girls. We did it for them," said Crim.

Right.

Shortly after they arrived, more parents arrived with similar symptoms.

By morning, parents and children some clad in pajamas clutching pillows and sleeping bags cheered as fairgrounds staff and Maryland state police began letting in 50 people at a time to claim their tickets and wristbands.

"It wasn't hard to stay out last night. Our kids motivate us. We would do anything for our babies. I did the same thing for Hannah Montana," Groves said.

Other parents were less understanding about the entry system.

Stewart Bryant, a resident of Dundalk, joined the line at 5 a.m. By 8 a.m., he was fuming.

"How many people at his concert, bought tickets to his club–$40 a joint to get your tickets early–and you still had to get in a line to get a bracelet? You wasted $40," he said. "As a parent, [I think] Bieber should go and say, 'Hey, look usher, be fair to those who paid the $40 to join my club.' The bracelet should've come with the tickets."

Bryant's cries of frustration were quickly drowned out by Bieber's target audience–throngs of screaming pre-teen girls.

By 10:30 a.m. hundreds of people still remained in line.
