It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new venues to explore. 

1. MAGOOBY'S JOKE HOUSE 

Where/When: 9603 Deereco Road, Timonium, MD. Shows run Thursday 8 p.m.; 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Why Go: Saturday Night Live alum Dean Edwards is headlining. He does probably the best Denzel Washington impression I've ever seen. 

Pricing: Tickets are $7 on Thursdays, $14 Friday and Saturday. Magooby's also enforces a two-item minimum purchase. 

2. TRAIN SHOW - ELLICOTT CITY SCALE MODEL RAILROAD ASSOCIATION

Where/When: , 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.  

Why Go: The attention to detail to this interesting hobby is off the charts. The fairgrounds will be transformed into the Mecca for all scale model enthusiasts. 

Pricing: Saturday admission is $9 for adults, $18 for unlimited family pass, and under 15 are free. Sunday admission is $8 for adults, $15 for unlimited family pass and under 15 are free. 

3. STARGAZING FRIDAYS

Where/When: The Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St., 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: It’s a chance to observe the moon, planets and stars above Charm City’s nighttime skies.

Pricing: Free entry, but doesn’t include access to the entire Science Center.

Where/When: 512 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204, Saturday at 6 p.m.

Why Go: Good music. Good cause. Good grief! Do you really need another reason not to go? Proceeds benefits the HopeWell Cancer Support.

Pricing: $30

5. Towson Tigers Men's and Women's Basketball in Action 

Where/When: Towson Center at Towson University. Men's: 4 p.m., Saturday against Georgia State. Women's: 2 p.m., Sunday against William and Mary. 

Why Go: Competitive basketball in a family-friendly environment. *Towson students aren't known for rioting after wins or losses. 

Pricing: Men's: adult tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Children are $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Women's: $5 for adults, $3 for children.
