The reportedly suicidal suspect was taken in at about 10:30 a.m.

Police have a man in custody following a “brief barricade situation” Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Cockeysville, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton.

The suspect, a 56-year-old man, was reportedly suicidal and threatening to hurt himself, Batton said.

"Guns were found inside a closet in the home but the subject did not have the weapons near him," Batton wrote in an email.
