Kathleen Methric Named NKFMDDE Board Chair

Executive brings 20+ years of pharmaceutical expertise to the nonprofit

COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (May 2, 2024) –The National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware (NKFMDDE) has elected Kathleen Methric to a two-year term as chair of its advisory board of directors.

Currently serving as associate director of marketing liaison with AMGEN, Methric brings over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She earned her degrees in biotechnology and music from the University of Delaware.

A passionate advocate for patients facing chronic and life-threatening diseases, she joined the NKFMDDE board in 2020 and has co-chaired the organization’s Santé: Giving Back for Kidney Disease signature event since 2022.

“I am excited and honored to be assuming the role of NKFMDDE board chair,” Methric said. “The commitment to patient care exhibited by my fellow board members, many of whom are extremely busy physicians, is inspiring to me, and I am fully committed to helping the organization achieve its goals of improving the lives of kidney patients throughout Maryland, Delaware and beyond."

Committed to building effective networks to help fellow women achieve personal and professional goals, Methric also has participated in the Executive Alliance Impact Mentoring Program and is an active alumna of Leadership Baltimore County.

“Kathleen brings a wealth of leadership experience and strategic vision to our organization,” said NKFMDDE Executive Director Pattie Dash. “I’m deeply grateful for her vision, dedication and passion, which will propel us to the next level.”

“She will be particularly instrumental in our ability to improve local health equity by participating in a new workstream aimed at identifying and implementing strategies to improve CKD testing and diagnosis in underserved communities,” Dash added.

A lifelong Marylander, Methric resides in Catonsville with her husband, Tim.
