Maryland State Fair Announces Musical Acts For 2019

Concerts at the 2019 Maryland State Fair will feature rock, country and pop bands.

TIMONIUM, MD — The Maryland State Fair has revealed which musical acts will headline this summer's event. On the lineup: a Baltimore native.

Pop band Hanson, Southern rock group the Marshall Tucker Band, country duo LoCash — which includes a Baltimore man — and '80s arena rock band Night Ranger will perform at the 2019 Maryland State Fair.

  • Hanson on Friday, Aug. 23
  • Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday, Aug. 24
  • LoCash on Friday, Aug. 30
  • Night Ranger on Saturday, Aug. 31

Brothers from Oklahoma formed the pop band Hanson in 1992 and rocketed into fame with the catchy hit "MMMBop" in 1997. The group sold out tickets to its 25-year anniversary tour in 2017.

Southern rock group the Marshall Tucker Band rose to popularity in the 1970s out of South Carolina. The band is known for songs such as "Can't You See" and "Heard It In A Love Song."

LoCash — a duo consisting of Chris Lucas of Baltimore and Preston Bust of Kokomo, Indiana — met in Nashville. They hosted the Country Music Awards in 2017 and were nominated for new vocal duo of the year and duo of the year in the past three years. Their hit singles include "Feels Like A Party" and "I Love This Life," among others. Lucas reportedly grew up in Lansdowne and Pasadena before moving to Nashville.

The 1980s hair band Night Ranger out of San Francisco, known for its arena rock, has a host of bestselling albums such as Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life and Man In Motion, and hit songs like "Sister Christian" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me."

Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., and all shows will start at 7:30 p.m

A limited number of tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, for $25.
