Despite Davis’ career year, Cabrera, who in 2012 was the first player to lead the league in batting average, home runs and runs batted in since 1967, is the favorite to win the award again this year.

Cabrera, who played a large portion of the season hurt, lead the league in batting average, on base percentage and slugging percentage.
