Resource Group Adds Medical Coordinator

From the Resource Group Counseling and Education Center:

Towson, MD, May 5, 2012: If you’ve been anywhere near recovery from alcohol or drug abuse, or eating disorders, or have needed emotional regulation, or sought counseling for grief, or needed to see a psychiatrist or addictions physician, you’ve doubtless come across The Resource Group in Towson.

Just across the street from Towson University, the organization was started by Charles Whitfield, MD, the author of the blockbuster “Healing the Child Within” and John Davis, PhD, a well known and respected expert on addictions.

The organization is proud to announce that it has engaged Paul Kulpinski, MD to act as its Medical Coordinator.  Dr Kulpinski is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Medical School and lectures on mindfulness-based stress reduction, addiction medicine, and the use of opioid based replacement medications.  He is Board certified in Family Medicine and in Addictions Medicine.

Jerry Hunt, PhD Clinical Coordinator for Addictions Services, commented that, “Dr Kulpinski is a talented and experienced addictions medicine physician and a kind human being.  He will add to our current offering of medical professionals at Resource Group that include psychiatrist Marilyn Martin, MD, and psychiatric nurse practitioners Teri Murtha and Lisa Swords”.
