Arson, Murder Suspect Held Without Bond After Fatal Baltimore County Fire: Court

An arson and murder suspect was held without bond in Baltimore County, court records say. She's accused in a fatal apartment fire.

TOWSON, MD — A Baltimore man accused of deadly arson in Towson was held without bond recently, court records show.

The Baltimore County Police Department said it arrested 43-year-old Dana Hunt on Aug. 29, charging her with first-degree murder and first-degree arson.

Judge Karen Ann Pilarski held Hunt without bond last Friday, the case file says.

The Baltimore County Fire Department said Hunt is accused in the Aug. 26 apartment fire that claimed the life of 43-year-old man Rene Trejo.

Crews said the blaze also hospitalized a 43-year-old woman and three children.

Firefighters said they were called to the 8400 block of Greenway Road at 12:03 a.m.

First responders said they found flames on the second floor, where they located the adult male victim.

Crews said they removed him through a window and down a ladder.

Medics said they began care and took him with life-threatening injuries to a nearby hospital, where he died soon after.

The fire department said it controlled the two-alarm blaze at 12:58 a.m.
