TOWSON, MD — A group protested conditions at the Baltimore County Detention Center over the weekend, according to WBAL, which reported signs at the small demonstration said things like "everyone deserves human rights."

Inmates are kept three to a cell with people sleeping on the floor, the facility has rats and the food and showers are moldy, the news station reported. The protest on Sunday came days after WBAL ran a story on an inmate who was assaulted and ended up at the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where his family learned he was after another detainee contacted them.
