Age: 57

Previous public office, appointive or elective: Local community association positions for many years.

Why are you seeking this office? To serve my community and to make Baltimore County a safe place to raise our families, provide quality education for our children and to help small businesses succeed.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Crime. I intend to work with law enforcement to reinstate the law enforcement officers bill of rights (LEOBR), recruit and maintain officers, fill vacancies and provide the best training and resources available. We need to make sure that judges also do their part to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law and not have a revolving door of repeat offenders.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am a problem solver. I will work tirelessly to find effective solutions while making sure that undue financial burdens are not placed on tax payers. I believe that developers should pay their fair share. I support the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinances (APFO) and feel that they should immediately go before the County Council. This would give us the information we need for planning not only school needs but also infrastructure moving forward. I believe in being proactive and not just reactive to a problem.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

Failure to adequately fund and support our police, fire, EMT's and 911.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Adopting the adequate public facilities ordinances (APFO) and restricting fee waivers for developers.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Managed multiple departments to include customer service for a large retail establishment as well as teaching citizenship in the community, nation and world for the boyscouts (BSA) for over a decade.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? To stand my ground and stick to my principles.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I come from a military family and I know how to manage multiple tasks and to get the job done. We need to listen more to the communities as to what their needs are and not just assume that the county knows best. Every community has different needs and we must make every effort to give each community the resources and support they need.
