BCPS Officials Meet With Rodgers Forge Parents, Staff
Parents spoke with planning officials about the potential enrollment cap at West Towson Elementary and future construction plans.

An enrollment cap at is "not imminent," school officials told a group of School parents and staff members.

West Towson Elementary opened in 2010 primarily as a way to combat overcrowding at Rodgers Forge. Now that school is 70 students over its capacity of 451 and administrators have had to turn to creative solutions, since trailers can't be placed on the site.

Since September, when county officials first of an enrollment cap at West Towson, enrollment hasn't grown at the same pace officials believed, and assistant superintendent Verletta White told parents there won't be a cap there for now.
