Bowlero Shooting: 1 Dead After Dispute On York Road, Police Say

TIMONIUM, MD — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened over the weekend near a bowling alley off York Road.

Anthony Cooper, 48, was shot in the upper body in the 2100 block of York Road, according to officials.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene, said police, who were called to the Timonium Bowlero after 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15.

The shooting occurred outside the bowling alley, Baltimore County police spokesperson Joy Stewart told Patch Monday. She declined to say whether anyone had been arrested in the case.

Cooper and others at the bowling alley got into a fight before the shooting, witnesses told police. At least one person left before officers got there, police said.

The death of Cooper on Friday is one of five homicides in Baltimore County this week:

• Police said Dimarco Johnson, 22, was fatally shot in the Essex-Middle River area Saturday, Oct. 16.
• Christopher Walker, 55, and his son Justin Walker, 24, died in what is being investigated as a double homicide in the 7400 block of Plainview Road in Rosedale on Monday, Oct. 11.
• Jovan Lewis Singleton, 36, of Baltimore, was found deceased in the Windsor Mill area following a shootout with police on Monday, Oct. 11, according to investigators.
