Towson University Police To Be Graded by Community
The police department is assessed every 3 years.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies will soon assess the Towson University Police Department, and community members are invited to share their thoughts.
A team of assessors will visit the university on Aug. 4 and will examine the police department's polices and procedures, management, operations and support services, according to an announcement from the school. As part of the assessment, the community can offer comments during a public information session in room 424 of the administration building on campus at 5 p.m., Aug. 5.

Those who cannot attend the session can comment via telephone by calling 410-704-6531 on Aug. 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Telephone comments and appearances at the session are limited to 10 minutes and must relate to the department's ability to comply with the commission's standards, a copy of which is available at the school's public safety building during normal business hours, according to the announcement. Call 410-704-5730 to schedule a time to review the standards.
