County Announces Bin Location for Hurricane Irene Yard Waste

Baltimore County has released trash collection bin locations, which residents may use to get rid of storm-related yard waste.

The yard waste will ultimately be mulched by the county.

The bins will be placed at career fire stations across the county beginning Monday. They will remain in place for at least a week and possibly longer if the county determines there is additional need.

The county also encourages residents to use its three residential drop off centers, which will also accept larger non-yard waste items.

• Eastern Sanitary Landfill, 6259 Bays Cove Road, White Marsh, MD 21162. Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Closed Labor Day).
• Western Acceptance Facility (Halethorpe), 3310 Transway Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227. Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed Labor Day)
