A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Baltimore County's <a href="http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/planning/historic_preservation/landmarks_preservation_commission/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">landmarks preservation commission</a> unanimously approved <a href="http://www.anneslie.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Anneslie's</a> application as a at its meeting Thursday night. Following County Executive Kevin Kamenetz's approval, the application heads to the U.S. Department of the Interior. Anneslie Community Association president said he expects to hear word sometime around January. The federal historic place designation allows homeowners to qualify for federal tax credits. At the meeting, residents and Baltimore County Councilman David Marks pointed out that Anneslie isn't the first neighborhood in its part of Towson to apply for the designation. "We're just following along in the footsteps of Rodgers Forge and Stoneleigh," McGovern said. He added, "A lot of the houses look exactly like they did in the 1920s or 1930s, when they were built."
