County Announces Season's Final Free Flu Shot Clinic

Health officials expect to run out of the vaccines next week.

If you haven't yet gotten a flu shot, there's still time to get protected.

The Baltimore County Department of Health plans to offer one final free flu shot clinic 1-7 p.m.,  at the in Anneslie.

According to health department spokeswoman Monique Lyle, the department has roughly 800 flu shots left, and some of those will be used at a late-night clinic for county employees whose work schedules kept them from visiting other flu shot events.

However, Lyle said, the county may get additional vaccines from nearby jurisdictions if demand appears high enough.

The county recommends the shot for anyone 6 months old or older. Children, seniors, pregnant women, health care workers and people with certain diseases are also urged to get the vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
