George Huguely's Defense Requests New Trial
Friday was the deadline for attorneys to file the retrial motion.

Attorneys for former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely V have asked that his guilty verdict in the killing of Cockeysville native Yeardley Love be set aside.
The Associated Press reports that Huguely's defense attorneys filed the motion in Charlottesville Circuit Court on Friday. The defense claims eight errors were made before and during the trial.
In February, of second-degree murder and grand larceny in the 2010 beating death of Love. The jury recommended that he behind bars. Circuit Judge Edward Hogshire will impose the final sentence in a hearing in August.
