La Cakerie Launching Food Truck

Towson bakery and cafe La Cakerie will be launching a food truck that will hit the streets in about a month.

Owner Jason Hisley, a Parkville resident who has been featured on Food Network, said the truck will feature made-from-scratch savory and sweet selections such as gourmet pretzel dogs, cupcakes, quiches and croissants.  It will offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and possibly late-night dining. 

Though the food truck will have a regular menu, Hisley said there will a good deal of rotating of selections. 

"A lot of food trucks tend to limit themselves to one thing—a barbecue truck, cupcake truck," he said. "We're an artisan cafe so we want to showcase all that we can do."

A route has not yet been set, but suggestions for stops are being accepted on the La Cakerie Facebook page.
