Baltimore Diners Get Early Access to Special Menus Feature on OpenTable

Popular dining app will show what special menus or pricing are being offered nearby in a pilot program at Baltimore-area restaurants.

BALTIMORE, MD — Calling all Baltimore-area foodies--now you can book yourself a table at your favorite local restaurant to specifically try out special and limited-time, seasonal menus with special pricing through the OpenTable app.

OpenTable is one of the most popular dining apps that offer real-time reservation info for diners. Other popular apps include Resy, Reserve and Table8.

The move by OpenTable is expected to help local restaurants boost their business while targeting specials directly to hungry diners just around the corner.

Alan Hirsch, general manager of the Baltimore restaurant Cosima, praised OpenTable in a release from the app.

"Promoting our unique specials and signature dishes to diners right at the time when they're deciding where and what to eat is a powerful marketing lever," Hirsch said.
