Overnight Lane Closures Planned For Brief Roadwork On I-95

Overnight lane closures are planned this week on Interstate 95 in Baltimore County. Crews will complete a brief road repair project.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will perform asphalt pavement repairs and patching on a ¼-mile segment of southbound I-95 south of the Joh Avenue bridge in southwestern Baltimore County as soon as Wednesday night, December 3. Weather permitting, the work will be complete Friday morning.

Motorists traveling on southbound I-95 south of Baltimore City can expect overnight single-lane and double-lane closures between the Joh Avenue bridge and the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) interchange between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday nights. In case of inclement weather, the work will be performed on the next possible weeknight (Sunday – Thursday).

The work is part of the State Highway Administration’s $7.6 million contract to ensure the safety and ride quality of pavement on Interstate highways in Baltimore County. The contractor is Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium.
