A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A Parkville man was arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer in Towson on Sept. 3, according to Baltimore County police.Jeffery Pianowski, 41, of the 2700 block of Burridge Road, has been charged with impersonating an officer and is currently being held on $150,000 bail, according to a police news release. Officers responded to the 7-Eleven in the 8600 block of Pleasant Plains Road after a 911 caller said a man, who actually worked at an area car dealership, was identifying himself as a police officer. At the scene the officers found Pianowski who was allegedly wearing a polo shirt that read "police" on the back and a badge around his neck.According to police, he was also wearing a holster on his hip carrying an air pistol and driving a silver Chevrolet Impala.Police also allegedly found handcuffs, badges and firearms in Pianowski's car and home.So far police have been able to locate one resident who accused Pianowski of trying to pull him over, and are asking anyone else who may have been a victim to call (410) 307-2020.
