Ripped from the storybooks, hundreds of characters marched through Rodgers Forge Friday afternoon.
Rodgers Forge Elementary hosted its annual Storybook Character Parade, a tradition since 1951. Nearly the entire student body of about 400 kids marched as characters like Harry Potter, Mario, werewolves and cowboys.
Parents and neighbors perched on lawn chairs or marched along with the kids around the block from Stevenson Lane to the school's front door on Dumbarton Road.
