Police Release Additional Details in Rodgers Forge Shooting Death

Baltimore County detectives investigating the shooting death of Donte Antonio Stephens early Wednesday do not believe that an exchange of gunfire took place. 

Stephens, 36, of the 100 block of Murdock Road, was found dead inside an overturned silver Dodge near Murdock and Blenheim roads at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

The detectives have also determined that Stephens was not in possession of a weapon when he was killed, according to a news release. Several parked cars in the area were damaged when the Dodge crashed, but there were no other injuries. 

It's not clear whether Stephens was targeted.

Police had initially incorrectly identified the victim's address.
