Police shot a man and his dog, reports said. The animal was repeatedly biting its owner.
BALTIMORE — Police gunfire wounded a man and killed his dog Sunday in Baltimore after the animal repeatedly bit its owner, reports said.
The Baltimore Sun said the shooting happened around 4:44 p.m. in the 900 block of St. Paul Street. That's located in the Mount Vernon neighborhood.
Police spoke with the dog's 33-year-old owner, who said the animal had bitten him, WBFF reported.

The Sun said officers, still outside the house, asked the man to secure his dog.
WJZ said the man tried to secure his dog in another room, but the attack continued.

The man left the house as the dog continued to attack him, The Sun reported.
WBFF said two officers fired their weapons, killing the dog and hitting the man in his leg.
The man was hospitalized and is listed in stable condition, WJZ said.
The Baltimore Police Department is still investigating. The agency plans to release body camera video from the call, WBFF said.
