TOWSON, MD — A skull was found recently near a Towson cemetery, police said, noting that foul play is not suspected.

Officers said they were called Friday evening to a wooded area near a cemetery at the intersection of Kenilworth Drive and Bosley Avenue.

"The Office of The Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) responded to the scene and verified that the skull was a human skull," Baltimore County Police Department spokesperson Detective Trae Corbin told Patch in a Monday email. "The OCME determined that the skull had been at the location for several decades and indicated that there were no signs of trauma."
