State Crews to Repair York Road Sidewalks
Drivers may see some lane closures starting next Monday as part of a $120,000 project.

Drivers may notice some lane closures starting next Monday as state highway crews repair more than a half-mile of sidewalks on York Road.
According to a State Highway Administration release, the project includes "replacement of existing concrete sidewalk or construction of new sidewalk, curb and gutter where needed; construction or replacement of sidewalk ramps where needed; and reconstruction of driveway aprons where needed" on both sides of the street from Hillside Avenue to Hatherleigh Road.
SHA warns of some possible single-lane closures on that stretch of York Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some driveways may also need to be closed for up to 24 hours.

The administration says the work will boost pedestrian safety and access to Maryland Transit Administration bus lines in the area. State officials expect the work to be completed by late fall.
