Stoneleigh Elementary Sets Groundbreaking for Renovation
The school will host a ceremony on June 6.
When students at Stoneleigh Elementary School say goodbye to teachers and friends for the summer, they'll be saying goodbye to their school for a bit longer.
The long-planned renovation and expansion at Stoneleigh is finally set to get underway. The school will host a groundbreaking ceremony on June 6 at 10 a.m., County Councilman David Marks said.

The expanded school will house 14 new classrooms.
The work will take roughly a year, but students and parents won't see much of it—students will be in northern Towson for next school year.
